The idea for my first picture book arises from my fascination of a superhero cockroach. This is how he looks like when called to action. No frills, just his trusted mask to shield his identity.

I did my first storytelling at Kinokuniya, last Saturday. Since it was a storytelling cum activity session, I got the kids to draw their version of Rochee. It was fun to draw with the kids though.


This was drawn by Gabriel. Initially I thought he wrote the word "DAD", but turned out to be 2 windows next to each other and the "A" stands for "attic". I didn't see that coming... Check out Rochee's blog to view the others :)

Book Launch Invite

An invite from National Book Development Council of Singapore & Straits Times Press.

This Saturday 24 Oct, will be the launch of 9 local children's books under the First Time Writers & Illustrators Publishing Initiative 2009 at The Arts House. "Rochee the friendliest cockroach" is one of them. :) There will book signing at the end of the event too!
